Here at Our Past Times, we believe in giving children the right start in life. We place a value on providing toys that don’t need batteries, rather using solar power, the power of a rubber band or simply a helping hand from a human being.

Where it all began

Our journey started with a dream. Maxine Bentley, our founder and CEO, always envisioned running a toy shop that offered quality, educational toys. As a grandmother, she was concerned about the prevalence of electronic games and plastic toys. She sought toys that would engage her grandchildren, teach them valuable skills, and limit screen time. In 2017, Maxine decided to turn her dream into reality. After visiting the Toy Fair in Melbourne and carefully selecting products that aligned with her vision, she opened Our Past Times on September 23rd, 2017. Since then, it has been a wonderful journey filled with joy, learning, and community.
