1. FAIRY PENGUINS<\/h3>\r\n

Staring eagerly into the waves crashing onto the beach; waiting for that little head to pop up out of the water. A dot appears and then as quick as a flash drives back into the water; once the coast is clear (Excuse the pun) the group of adorable fairy penguins waddle up the beach; towards their burrows in the sand dunes. The exciting \u201cchatter\u201d of the Penguins returning home is heart-warming. Having this adorable wild animal waddle past not even 2m away from you is a very unique experience.<\/p>\r\n

The photos on the website of the Phillip Island Penguin Parade were a little offputting. It looked touristy and overcrowded; however, do not be fooled you will not see anything like this anywhere else on the Island. The money for the tickets helps with the conservation of the area and is totally worth it. Depending on the time of year; you may come across crowds of people, however; the boardwalk is set so that you can watch the Penguins coming from the ocean, and then make your way along the boardwalk. To get an up-close and personal experience with these beautiful little penguins.<\/p>\r\n

Tickets: there are a few options depending on your budget; when it comes to the tickets for the Penguin Parade (2021) all tickets must be done online. The money from the ticket sales; is invested back into the conservation and protection of the Colony so it is going to a good cause. The most cost-effective and in our opinion was perfect. The general viewing is beachfront auditorium-style seating with access to the boardwalk through the Penguin Colony.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

By purchasing the pass, you would be saving yourself $17.25 if you were to visit all sites individually. You need to know before going to the Penguin Parade<\/h5>\r\n

\u00a0It depends on the time of year as to how many Penguins you will see. We visited the Penguin Parade on New Year\u2019s Eve and were lucky enough to see over a thousand Penguins. (How they count them every night is beyond me) as well as a glimpse of their babies in the nest.\u00a0 Check the calendar <\/a>before you go; to give yourself an idea of how many and what time the Penguins will make an appearance.<\/p>\r\n
