SBCC Academy Coaching - Year-Round Development

Take your cricket skills to the next level with the SBCC Academy, now expanded to offer support all year! Perfect for players aged 7–11(junior) & 11-16 (advanced), this comprehensive program is tailored to provide year-round coaching and match preparation led by Melbourne’s best coaches. Best of all you do not have to do all sessions and can add the sessions that best suit you.

Program Highlights

Winter Academy Training

Location: Clever Cricket, Thomastown
Dates: Sundays, July – September (20 sessions)
Time: 6-9pm Tuesdays
Focused skill sessions, net practice, and match preparation.

Location: Turf ground, Shepparton & 3 Melbourne Venues
Date: July to September 2025
A full-scale match (40 overs per side) to finalize pre-season preparations.

Location: Clever Cricket, Thomastown
Dates: Wednesday, September 23 & Thursday, September 24
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Choose two of the following focus areas:
- Spin Bowling
- Fast Bowling
- Batting Foundations
- Batting Against Spin
- Advanced Batting

Location: Clever Cricket, Thomastown
Dates: Sundays, October 11 – November 22 (7 sessions)
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Weekly reviews of match performances, preparation for upcoming
games, and practice with video analysis and bowling machines

Location: Turf ground, Melbourne
Date: Sunday, November 29
Showcase your skills in a full-scale match.

Dates: December 21–23
3-day intensive with up to six former Test players.

Program Includes

Induction night with a Test player and a lecture.
20 SBCC Winter Squad sessions.
10 personal one-to-one coaching sessions (May–October).
2 specialist September holiday sessions (4 hours total).
4 full-scale matches (Spring and Summer).
Access to cutting-edge coaching tools, including Dartfish computer analysis.

Additional Benefits and Optional Extras

Thomastown: $52 per 30-minute session.
Unlimited Bowling Machine and Net Hire: $10/hour at Clever Cricket.
One-to-One Coaching: Available February–April for an extra fee.
Tours: First option on tours to India, New Zealand and the UK .
