Welcome to Shaun Brown’s Cricket Coaching, where our passion for cricket meets a dedication to developing players of all levels. Founded in 1986 by Shaun Brown, our journey began with a commitment to providing quality coaching for aspiring cricketers. Since then, we’ve expanded into a leading cricket academy, known for expert training programs, international tours, and immersive cricket camps across Australia.

Milestones Through the Years

1987

First coaching clinics held at Catterack Crescent Oval, Traralgon, with 28 locals and the expertise of Hawthorn player John Mitchell.

1990

Shaun becomes Head Coach at an indoor cricket center in Melbourne, and introduces former Test star Keith Stackpole as the main camp coach.

1991

Shaun Brown’s Cricket Coaching officially becomes a full-time business, with Ray Bright heading four major country camps across Victoria.

2000

Launch of “Clever Cricket,” Shaun’s purpose-built cricket center in Thomastown, Melbourne, dedicated to quality coaching sessions year-round.

2015

First international SBCC tour launched to the United Kingdom, with training at Lords and matches across England. Tours later expand to include Ireland, Wales, Dubai, and France.

2016

Introduction of an under-14 tour to New Zealand, which quickly becomes a popular addition to the SBCC international tour lineup.

2018

First Senior Cricket Tour, “Merv’s Masters Tour,” launched with Merv Hughes, marking an expansion into adult coaching tours.

2019

Expansion of cricket camps into Perth and other regional areas in WA, with Australian legends Brad Hogg, Terry Alderman, Jo Angel, and Kim Hughes joining as guest coaches.

Present Day

Over 50 cricket camps across Victoria, NSW, and WA, and three Melbourne coaching venues serving young cricketers. Shaun Brown’s Cricket Coaching has now trained over 60,000 players in personal sessions and coordinated over 1,200 cricket camps featuring 58 former Test players.
