Itinerary Timeline

Day 1: The Adventure Begins

Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Get ready to explore one of the most beautiful snowshoe trails in Pemberton! We’ll meet at the designated parking area, conveniently located just off the highway—no forest service roads to navigate. From here, we’ll embark on an 11.7 km out-and-back trail with a stunning mix of gentle valley terrain and a moderate, invigorating 2 km incline near the end.

Keith Flavelle Hut is a treasure waiting for us, nestled amidst pristine winter landscapes. Whether you’re an active beginner or an experienced adventurer, this hike offers something special. After we arrive at the hut, enjoy the camaraderie of your group, a warm meal, and the peaceful quiet of the snow-covered mountains.

Optional for Skiers/Snowboarders: For those craving a thrill, this area offers incredible ski and snowboard lines near the hut! Bring your gear for an epic winter experience.

Overnight Stay at Keith’s Hut:
The hut offers rustic charm with limited spots, so early arrival ensures a cozy spot. In case we overflow, someone may need to bunk on the table—it’s all part of the adventure!

Day 2: Morning Bliss & Return Journey

Wake up to a magical winter wonderland as sunlight kisses the snow-covered peaks. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, share stories with your group, and soak in the serene surroundings. After packing up, we’ll start our return journey, retracing our steps back through the breathtaking terrain.

We’ll aim to reach the parking area by mid-afternoon, concluding our unforgettable 2-day adventure.

Afternoon Options:

Optional kayaking adventure to explore Tofino’s waters.
Time to lounge on the beach or delve into Tofino town’s charming shops and galleries.

Evening:
Another magical bonfire awaits, perfect for swapping stories and stargazing.

Exclusions

Snowshoe equipment (bring your own snowshoes and microspikes).
Personal gear (sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and the 10 essentials for winter hiking).
Food and beverages (self-catered meals).
Hut donation: $25 per night – cash only.
Firewood: Each participant is asked to bring one log as a donation.

Group Limit: 12 participants; 15 max at the hut.
